Regina Udo, DNP, Ed.S, FNP-BC
Dr. Udo is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with specialty training and expertise in providing primary health care to patients of all ages (infants, children, adolescents, and adults). As a well trained general practitioner, she provides a wide array of health services including both preventive care (routine checkups) and diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses. With her strong background in Educational Psychology and Counseling, she provides evidence-based, patient-centered clinical care, expert patient education and health counseling with respect, and compassion in a friendly, professional clinic environment.
She has twenty years of experience in clinical practice. She moved from Nashville, Tennessee in 2002 and has been a member of the Las Cruces Community since.
Dr. Udo earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and chemistry from The University of Calabar, Nigeria; an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Psychology and Counseling in 1991 from Tennessee Technological University at Cookeville, Tennessee; and a Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee in 1995 starting her career as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from The University of Texas at El Paso in May 2015.
Dr. Udo’s professional affiliations and honors include Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society, Golden Key International Honour Society, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Southern Pain Society and Dona Ana Medical IPA, Las Cruces. In 2015, she was selected for the Paso del Norte Health Foundation Graduate Fellows Program award for academic excellence and leadership.
She is Board Certified in Family Practice by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
